Poverty exists in stages, and those in crisis require immediate intervention. The ultra-poor, such as individuals or families without shelter, food, clothing, or healthcare, must be prioritized, much like critical patients in a hospital emergency room.

At RubySher Foundation, we assess each situation with care and compassion, understanding that no two lives are the same. Our aid is tailored to meet the unique needs of those we serve. For instance, a homeless family living on the streets may be supported with essentials like mattresses and nutrient-rich foods such as milk, peanuts, cheese, eggs, fruits, and vegetables. These items provide a balanced diet and are easy to consume without the need for cooking facilities. Seasonal clothing is also provided to ensure basic protection from the elements.

When funds are limited, we prioritize based on urgency. If the streets are unsafe to walk barefoot, slippers or shoes may be the first purchase. At the same time, if the head of the family is capable of working, we explore suitable employment opportunities that can lead to long-term income stability.

To help the family transition from crisis to recovery, a lump-sum grant may be provided to assist in securing temporary shelter. With shelter and a source of income in place, their situation begins to stabilize. Once survival, livelihood, and shelter are ensured, we shift our focus to long-term transformation by supporting the education of their children and paving the way for a brighter future.
